October Fiesta!

To start off our whirl wind October---
Adon turned 5!!! Our little buddy is getting so big.

For his Birthday we all went to the corn maze together.

Lots of canning was done.. This is only one tomato day
My family also did pears, applesauce, grape juice, raisins, and herbs.

Ryan and I also took a random trip to Mexico. Short but so worth it!

Last weekend we celebrated Halloween with pumpkins and pizza!

So my birthday was over 6 months ago... It seems time is just flying by. Ry and I have been really busy living life that we haven't been blogging about it.

Some of the things we have done in the last six months;

April - Finished up another semester of school.

May - Visited our AZ siblings
Went to Wills Graduation from AZ State
Took a family trip back to VA to see Charlie Graduate from his Masters program
Ry helped Charlie with Clair's Baby Blessing
Played tourists in Washington DC for a couple days
Ryan ate some BBQ and has wanted more since
Started another semester

June - Went to Bear Lake for a weekend to cheer on Marcy in her marathon (crazy)
Went to the zoo
Had family pictures
Softball started
Had hot dog roasts
Planted my first garden
Went Fishing (probably more than once)
Went to Little Shop of Horrors and Ryan actually enjoyed it

July - Watched fireworks
Made Carly's fourth of July b-day Cake
S'more cook-out with a bunch of people from out ward
Went to the Car show with Ty and Whit and there little doll Lella
Played Ultimate Frisbee and did ok...
Fishing at Pelican
Went boating with our friends and tried Surfing for the first time..
-Ry did awesome. I got up once and then was frustrated with my arm.

August - Had a outside movie night with the boys on the side of our condo
Started school (Yet again)
Bama turned 2 (weird)
Ry hit a home-run in one of his tournaments

September - Kristine received her Mission call while she was in Israel!
- Slovenia/Croatia Mission
Canned Salsa (as much as I could help)
The boys came for the weekend(FUN) Everyone at church took a double-take.
Went fishing up on the Blackfoot river
Started Quilting.

I probably left out tons of things that we did but these were a few that stood out.. And here are a couple pictures from our adventures. (They are out of order oh well)

Today Heather turned 24. I just wanted to give a shout out to her and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I love you, I'm grateful that I'm a part of your life, and so glad that we are growing old together(only you think your old) LOVE YA!

HOWDY! I guess it has been a while since we have updated anything(november). Some things have changed some things have stayed the same. Ryan no longer works at night! Back in november he started working for a company in logan, Malouf fine linens. He is the warehouse manager, and loves the fact that he doesn't have to work at night any more. 3 years of that is plenty and we are happy that that phase is over. Heather is still working at the hospital but just was given acess to be able to work from home if she choses, so some days she goes in, and if she wants comes home to finish her work. We are tired of the snow and the cold, so if anyone has any ideas for gettaways let us know. Other than that its just same ol same ol around here. Most of these pictures are of our nephews, particularly Adon, We love this little guy even though he is growing up so fast. We hope everyone is doing well ADIOS!

Today is Ryan's and my anniversary of being sealed for time and all eternity. It's weird to think that Ry and I have been married for 3 years. Let alone know each other for almost a decade. He lifts me up and chills me out. He is the best husband. And he works so hard for us. I couldn't ask for a better best friend and someone to go through this life with and the next. In this season of Gratitude I am so thankful that he is my other half.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To everyone! Hopefully everyone that we know was able to be happy, and be with family, fill their bellies, sleep, and be with most of the people that they love. I really enjoy this time of year, not necessarily all the snow and cold, but the special time of year that it is. Being able to think about things and people that matter the most. We wish that we could be everywhere at once, with family especially since we will be adding new members to both sides. We want to let everyone know especailly family how grateful we are for all of you, and for all that you do for us. Even if we don't see you ever, or every day, or talk once a week, or see you once a year, know that we think of you often. That is what makes families and friends so great, is knowing that no matter how often you see one another, there is still the love and trust that keeps families strong. We at the Egbert house have so much to be greatful for. The simple fact we are able to wake up and work and be together with a roof over our heads helps us realize how fortunate we are. We love you all and we hope this holiday season finds you safe and blessed!

CHRISTMAS BEFORE THANKSGIVING!

For the past couple weeks I have been begging Ryan to let me put up the tree. He kept telling me no because it was too early and not til after thanksgiving. This year we will be in Vernal over thanksgiving and so the tree (technically) would have to wait til the first week of December which is unacceptable (in my opinion)and it wouldn't be up long enough. We then decided to have our nephews come over because we thought they would have fun putting the tree up with us, well here it is, christams before thanksgiving this year. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! (PLUS IT SNOWED!!!)

We haven't posted in 3 months and so much has happened...

First and for most I have to say (a week late) Happy b-day to my amazing husband he turns the BIG 25 this year. It's been rough the past couple months between school and juggling jobs to secure one and get rid of the other. He has gone with out sleep and with out Basketball!! I know. The weekend before his bday I cought strep throat and that is one of the diseases that are on my don't catch list. So I was sick on his b-day and basically stacked all his un-wrapped presents on the couch the morning of his b-day and then went back to bed. No matter how much he does though he still takes time to put me first. Like I was having a rough day and was kind of emotionaly stressed out so I went to visit him at work because everything seems to work out when I talk to him and after I had been there for a minute or two Ry could tell I was cracking and was like "Let's go for a ride" he pulled up a fork lift and we zoomed around the warehouse. I was laughing and feeling so much better but lets just say a fork lift was not made for 2 adults let alone one that is 6'6" 200 some odd pounds and one that is 5' 10" xxx pounds.

This is a pic of when we celebrated with his family later that week I was still sick but made a ok cake and took a shower... which was a lot for me.

Also we have to post about a brand new nephew. He came a little early but is beautiful and healthy. Rylan Conner Egbert. He wants to be just like his uncle Ryan but just missed his b-day by 4 days. Nov 6th. Congrats Connie and Marcy-pan we can't wait to meet this awesome little guy.

I'm sitting in church and a see a girl who I visit teach was eyeing me and I asked her how she was. She asked me how tall I was. I replied and she said perfect! And proceeded to tell me about a charity she was the seamstress for and one of her girls dropped out last moment. So I agreed to be Snow White for a Saturday morning. The outfit was a little big on me so I kept feeling like I was falling out. It was a little weird but very rewarding to see all the little girls gaze up at you with wonder and tell you that you are their favorite princess. One funny moment was Ryan's 2 bosses that I've never formally met came with their little girls and this is how they were introduced to me.

So we went to AZ to visit Conner and Marcy and kiddlins for a week in July and since we didn't take very many pictures we once had one activity on our camara. We went to Dispicable Me with the kids. It was really cute. But we did a lot that week. Such as, go swimming, play and rough house with the kids, went to the park, went to a baseball game, and just chilled. It was just what the doctor ordered! Thanks for letting us invade.

This summer my parent rounded up the whole crew and we all went back to NY for the palmyra tour. Ryan and I took a Red-eye out then meet up with Mom and Dad. This 4th of July we headed out to V-town to spend some time with the Jolley family. We spent the majority of the time just chillen with family, had family dinners, kinda watched the fireworks, Heather and her mom made a cake, and watched the parade. We also had a chance to spend some time with friends, it was great to see everyone. Ryan Also got to go fishing two days with weston on saturday and weston and zach on monday. They woke up at the crack of dawn both days and had a blast fishing. Here are some pictures from our trip.

These pictures are just recent, I know we have been terrible at updating over the past couple months, WE've just been busy, WE put in new carpet, tile, baseboards, and casings and also painted, those pictures are yet to come, me and my buddy branden played in a softball tournament in smithfield this weekend it was fun but we got our butts kicked 3 times so there are some picutres from that and then mom has been wanting to go up the canyon for some time now so we went up smithfield it was nice and quite I think my favorite picture is adon roasting a marsh mellow thats about as close as he got to the fire but he was just cute with it and collin was a happy camper throwing sticks, stealing grandma's chocolate(heaven forbid) anyways sorry again to took so long.

Well I watched bits and pieces of the Alabama Crimson vs White game, and I'm not going to lie I am very very excited for football to start again, the hope that again this year Alabama could re-peat. I was talking to a guy the other day who asked me how it felt to watch the Utah, Alabam game 2 years ago, all I could do was just smile, I think i'll be doing a lot more smiling this year.

Well we know its been a while, i'd like to say its becuase we've been busy but honestly not really, just not very devoted bloggers, but here are some pictures from the past little while probably months, enjoy.

I'm kinda dissapointed that I didn't get more pictures, but for the first official time ever I went snowboarding. Brandon was nice and patient enough to take me to park city the canyons with him. It was a perfect day, it was in the 40's and sunny and the snowboarding wasn't to bad other than the fact that i got lost. We both rode up on a lift, brandon went through the part where there are jumps and other things, while I went and got myself lost, we met up about a hour and a half later, after i had made my way to the very very bottom of the hill, i felt so retarded, brandon was only a little worried, but for that hour and a half i honestly had no clue where i was.

Our cute nephews who we get to play with every once in a while such good boys we love them!

And Happy Birthday to you Heather! Heather is now 23 years old, we just spent the day hanging out, she got all 3 Jurrasic Park movies and watched all of them, she had her car detailed, she pampered herself with a jet tub bath, and a mask and other bodily cleansing activities, we had cake and ice cream with the family and ended the night watching avatar. Happy birthday honey I love you

Jazz Game

So I don't even really like the Jazz, I like deron williams, ronnie price and AK, so on saturday, me weston, blake, cameron, ronnie, alex, josh, and jared went to a jazz game just the guys, we ate at iggy's before the game and then watched them beat the nuggets. I really wanted to watch carmelo and Billups play but they were both out but it was still fun to watch J.R. Smith and Ty Lawson, just a fun envrionment no matter how much i don't like the jazz. The best part was there was to younger couples that were probably on dates, that were denver fans in front of us, so of course we couldn't help but rag on the nuggets durring the whole game, The best part about it was that one of the girls was the only one brave enough to say anything back to us, it was pretty funny. So this is a post for everyone, who is wondering what is going on, well not a whole lot, the only thing exciting lately is we baught new couches, they won't get here till next week, we'll put pictures, yesterday we went down to provo, we orginally were planning to go to a good friens sealing in the Timpanogas temple, but 2 hours before he was called up by his wife to be, she came over and talked to him and called off the wedding, poor guy sorry man, anyways better now than later right, so since we were half way down there anyways we decided to go see kristine, and her place and meet up and have lunch with ben bybee and his frend, whom we havn't seen in about a year and a half, we ate at tucano's an amazing brazillian grill, and we ate meat for a hour and a half, just pure joy. Anyways thats an update, ADIOS!

Finally The National Championship Belongs the the Crimson Tide of Alabama. I'm not going to lie I wish i would have been in Tuscolusa When the game was over, I bet that it was awesome, Anways I thought that it was a great game, The only part is I wish Mcoy wouldn't have been hurt just because now everyone out there that is against me will say they only won because he wasn't playing. I will give texas credit For their second half effort they out played Alabama in the 3rd and the first couple minutes of the 4th. In my opinion if your team is as good as you think they are or are highly ranked who ever your back up is no matter if he is a freshman or not should be able to step in and pick up right where you left off. He came alive when he threw that TD pass to Shipley, And I'll give him credit for playing as well as he did, also the texas D in the 3rd was stifling, but Alabama, played great defensivly, THey were stupid for playing so conservative in the 3rd but they earned the Victory, no matter what everyone says. Texas only allowed 62 rushing yards per game this year and alabama had 2 100+ rushers, and had 182 in the first half on the ground. Their Defense played tough all night and kept them in the game. Especially when Darius interecepted that shovel pass and just threw gilbert off him as he rumbled into the endzone. Any ways hats off to the champs ROLL TIDE.

Kelsey is getting married (finally) to Jared Smart. Jared and Kelsey have been dating as long as I have been in this family.

They are planning on getting married sometime next fall. Kadie will be getting home off her mission in August(ish) and that is when they said it would be the earliest. Kelsey's ring is kind of similar to mine but Ryan doesn't see it. They got engaged last Friday down in Salt Lake.

So we haven't posted in almost 2 months so I am going to try and cover everything in our crazy lives. Life is good. The semester is over so Life will feel a little less crazy for Ryan for the next 3 weeks. We have his next semester all set up and looks pretty good considering. I am still working at the hospital and love it. I enjoy just being able to run my day. We are excited as the Christmas season is here and we are able to celebrate the birth of our Savior. We are fortunate enough to get a considerable snow fall this past week. Bama loves the snow and now he gets lost in it.

So in the past few months I've set a goal to attend the temple more often than I was and I Love it! I've been trying to not just do endowment sessions and last week I went on initiatory's and if you haven't gone on those in awhile I would recommend it. To hear and remember the promises made there is so reassuring especially in crazy hectic days. Baptisms are on my list of to do. I truly enjoy the Logan temple.

Anniversary

2 Whole Years! Wow how time just fly's by. It seems just like Yesterday we were just meeting up after Ryan's mission. life sure has changed. I can't even imagine my life without him in it. Ryan couldn't wait til our anniversary to give me my presents. He gave me a new set of scriptures with my married name on it, they are beautiful, black and larger print (I guess my eye sight is going.) I guess it's official when I'm an Egbert on my scriptures. It's only taken 2 years. He also got me some sweet slippers that I've worn every where I love them, along with some Rollo's.

I got Ryan a few trinket's. Candy of coarse. Wii classic remotes. I set them up on papers and had a little sayings. (I know I'm cheesy)

For our anniversary we made a steak and alfredo dinner and went to the Blindside movie we both enjoyed it. It was a touching and inspiring movie.

Ryan was on a 3-on3 basketball team this semester. They had 5 people. Ryan, Ty, Ethan, Andy , and Kyle. They had a great season and fortunately for me they made it to the finals so I was able to get pictures because I forgot every game except the last. They are the 3-on-3 champs and got a t-shirt!!

This is our adorable little member of our family. He is a Morkie= Maltese+Yorkie mix. His name is "Bama" like the state Alabama. He is a little over 3 months old now. He is a whopping 6 pounds and is currently sleeping on my feet one of his favorite places. Some of these pictures are old and some are new.

We have gotten quite a bit of snow lately and poor little guy we have to make paths for him. I don't know if you can see the snow is as tall as he is.

Bama will follow me around the house while I do dishes, clean, just every where. One day I was sick of tripping over him because he loves to sit right by my feet I stuck him in the front pocket of Ryan's camelback. He stayed in for awhile he didn't mind it.

This year was Ryan's first year playing flag football with some friends that he met up here at USU. They played 4 regular season games all up Romney Field where USU's football team plays. Adon's Bday

Our nephew Adon celebrated his third birthday this past week he is getting so big so fast. We love this little guy and love to see how he is growing. I have to tell a cute story about him being a big brother. Ry and I were babysitting him and Collin this past week and since it was a nice day (one of the last) we went outside to play. Collin was off on an adventure in the grass while Adon was playing pirate on our playground. Collin found a car in the grass and since no other kids were around to claim it I let him play with it. A little bit later another little boy showed up to play and saw Collins Cool Car and started jabbering about it. Adon all of a sudden ran over to Collin and I was worried that he was going to do his "hit and run" routine. But as I was about to get up Adon stopped a little short of Collin so I just sat and watched to see what was happening. Adon was just standing there very intent on this spot. Not looking at Collin but the other way at this other little boy. As I looked at the positioning of Adon he was right between Collin and this other boy. At first I thought maybe he wanted to play with this boy. But I was wrong. I didn't realize what was going on until the other little boy tried to go around Adon and was jabbering about Collin's car that Adon moved right into his path blocking him again! It was cute to watch big brother Adon protecting Collin and I'm sure Collin had no idea the danger his new found toy was bringing to him. Eventually the little boy went off to play and so did Adon. It was darling!

Strep TAG!

So no one should never play this new game Heather and I got tangled with the last two weeks. So Heather got sick and she went to the doctor and she had strep throat, so Luckily she had a 4 day weekend to get mostly better and she is still recovering. While she is sick she was always trying to kiss me but I wouldn't do it, because there is no way i can afford to get sick. So after about a week i figure she is getting better and I let her kiss me, bad move on my part, if your wife is sick shut her down don't let her touch you because guess what I got.... yep STREP THROAT so the past two weeks haven't been much fun for us but hopefully this is the only time this year.

YES!! Another semester has begun for Heather and I up here at UTAH STATE! So this semester I decided to not take such a heavy load simply because its not fun while working at night. This last week was a little difficult to get adjusted back to, sleep for a hour wake up, school, go back to sleep, get up work and do it all over the next day. However, I am very excited about this semester because I am actually taking classes that pertain to my major and I am looking forward to them because even only after one week, I've loved them. Durring the semester I get to do a test for an assignment to asses how my nephew's language is developing. So it should be fun. Heather is still being a trooper at home, working in the mornings and then comming home and making sure everything is ok with our home. We get to see each other on the weekends. Thanks honey, this won't last forever thanks for all you do I love you. GO AGGIES!

"TIS THE SEASON"

All right this is the Ryan Egbert College Football Preview. I am very excited for the season to kick off and I am anticipating with great intensity the week in week out hard hits, last second plays, all leading up to this years Nation Champion. This season I've tried to take a new approach and that is to give teams the credit that is deserved...... Well mostly. To start off we will start talking about the Pac 10 or rather USC. One sports writer said it all when he said call it the Pac 10 call it late for dinner, call it whatever you want it, the league will still be USC and the rest of them. Enough said? I think so. USC Has the potential to play in the National Chapionship game again this year having what is said to be an amazing team returning lead by a new young FRESHMAN Quater back. We know that USC is the prime breading grounds for making quaterbacks stars so that isn't to big of an issue especially in the conference that they are in, say if you were in the SEC as a freshman or the big 12 you might have more on your plate to worry about. Also one game to worry for them is in week 2 when they go to the horse shoe to meet the buckey's of Ohio State who are desperate for a win while on the big stage. IF, IF USC can come out with the W in that one I would be impressed to say that they will be In the National Champion ship game. Enough said.
To the SEC now, hands down College Football's most exciting and yet challenging conference. This leagues teams have combined to win 23 national championships since 1950. All but one of the league's 10 teams have been crowned college football's national champion at least once since 1951. Poor South Carolina, There is always a first right? right..... Let me know how that goes Coach Spurrier. I know everyone always talks about how the SEC Lives off of its past Especially when we talk about ALABAMA...... we won't even go there just yet, but in no other conference do you play as tough of teams as you find in this league. For example say you are Mississippi State, You think you are going to light it up this year right, you have all your starters from last year and this year's outlook looks bright, You come into fall camp and you take a look at your schedule. First home game you play Tennesse, and you think aw not so bad whats next week, Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the Georgia @ Georgia, Then LSU @ Home, the Florida @ home, Aurburn @ Auburn, and before you know it your in week 6 and your 0-6 and where did you season go. EVEN if your the top ranked Gators and you go to LSU this year(which they are) and loose, (which they've done the last two times @ LSU) there is little to no chance of a national title because that's your one loss and whoever is playing for the Championship went undefeated(which isn't always true). I love watching this conference go at it each week beating each other up it's so intense ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. And as we all know I'm excited to watch Alabama this year, although I've prepared myself for disappointment Not as disappointing as last year but probably something close, they will do good again run into a Georgia or more probable Florida in the SEC Title Game and then get worked but I'm hoping for a more promising out come in their bowl game, rather than the fluke that happened last year, yeah thats right I said it FLUKE! UTAH fans don't even get me started on how good UTAH FOOTBALL is, Living in Utah I'm so sick of it, I hope BYU embaresses them this year and I don't even support anything BYU other than the church. But anways back to the SEC this year it looks promising with the coaches poll, The SEC led the top 25 with five teams, with four in the top 10 and Georgia at No. 13. Happy HUNTING you REDNECKS!
Finally the BIG 12, I'm Excited to see who comes out of that one on top weather it is TExas or Oklahoma, I think they will both be awesome this year, it just depends on who beats who, oh wait no it doesn't because texas won last year and got shafted in the title game. I'm not to sure if that is the case this year. Also Baylor and OSU are teams that I will be watching for breakout seasons.
So thats all folks if you made it this far you probably don't agree with anything that I have said or don't even care about football. Some may wonder why i didn't talk about teams like Michigan Notre Dame or Penn State, well They will probably all be about as good as they were last year, with Notre Dame being much better this year. Also some may wonder why I didn't talk about the MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE, well Who wants to waste their time about a bunch of girls who think they can play football. Typicall Utah people (myself included) Think we are better than we really are at everything we do. The things Utah does good are produce babies on demand, Have weddings Daily, and food storage. All I have to say is I hope UTAH STATE beats UTAh @ UTAh and then everyone in Utah won't have anything to talk about because they will be to Embaressed to even talk about Utah foot ball. Ok, so finally Heather and I are getting on the ball and updating our blog. Here are a few pictures from our trip to Mexico. What a awesome 10 days it was, full of fun and relaxation. We flew to phoenix on a Friday and spent the after noon with Wills and Bailey, then that night Conner and Marcy and Co. drove up and we went to an Arizona Diamond Backs game it was lots of fun, a pretty high scoring game so that made it even better. On Sunday we drove the 4 hours to Rocky point and were there till the next Saturday and then flew home on Sunday. What a perfect place!

So this summer we are going to Mexico with Ryan's family. 10 glorious days in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico. Nothing but sun, books, family, food, and relaxation. We leave Friday and I can't hold it in. (Other than I haven't been in a swimming suit in over two years and I'm whiter than I've ever been!) But I got a super cute swimsuit and I'm excited to see all the little street shops. So for the past couple years I tried to grow my hair out and I was probably as long as it has ever been. But I got a new job that requires my to wake up a little earlier and I found out I got the job a couple days before my hair appointment. I took it as a sign told Ry I would come back with it shorter. A foot later it was right where I wanted it to be. I haven't been this short in over 2 1/2 years but it feels gg-rrrreat! Now I'll just have to grow it out again!

House update

So Ry and I bought a condo at the end of last year and with school and work keeping us busy we really haven't done too much. So the goal for this summer is to update a few things. First, the paint. We talked about colors for over a month because we both had different thoughts. We finally decided and Memorial Day weekend was the time to do a big chunk! Thanks to our family and friends we were able to complete our bedroom, living room, and get started on our kitchen. The most time consuming thing was waiting for the paint to dry so we could add another coat. Thanks Donetta and Herald for putting us up for a few days so we didn't have to sleep on our air mattress. So the major half down and some more to go. We'll let you know when our beautiful purple room is finally done. We are not completely done with our other rooms we still need to decorate and touch up but the majority is completed and I love it. Thanks babe for being such a hard worker and letting me win the battle of the colors!

So a couple days after we all separated I got a call from my brother and surprise, surprise they are expecting! They found out when they got home that Bailey was Prego! So there will be another little Jolley running around early next year! Wills and Bailey live down in AZ so my parents are probably going to be traveling with their grand kids in different states. Congrats you guys, and we'll see ya in a few days!

Kristine has finally done it! She is graduated. Congraulations! We were able to go out and be with the ENTIRE family on her special day. This is the first time we've all been together in almost a year. We all played games, cooked for each other, watched movies, and Kris stayed out til 5:30 am! What a little party animal. She crashed until later that day. We were all able to catch up. My mom was able to rope us in for a family picture before we all went home to our separate states.

Kristine has moved to Provo and will be starting BYU :( soon. She is a great kid and I know she will do great! We are a little closer now so remember Krispy- you can always crash at our house.

Kristine is the best little sister anyone could ask for and I'm so fortunate to have her in my life. (Someone had to be mature growing up) Some of my favorite memories were having sleep overs in each others rooms (one wall apart or just the next bed over) and her kicking and hogging the whole bed, Kris helping me with my homework (yes I wrote that correct), having our long talks about life and experiences, coming home from college/where ever I was and just going on sister dates (dinner and movie usually), adventures in the Geo, getting Oreo McFlurry's, and for being a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to. I love ya Sis ta and always WILL!

Mother's Day

So for Mother's day Ryan and I decided that we'd surprise my mom since we hadn't been to Vernal since Thanksgiving. I called Kris to have her make sure my mom wasn't doing anything and that she was home. But when I started out the conversation with "Can you keep a secret?", she automatically assumed that we were pregnant I had to stomp out that fire before anything happened. So Kris as my spy we got my mother some flowers and walked in the house and surprised her. It was a nice weekend we were able to see Robin and Ryan could meet Eliza. We just played and relaxed. We came home Sunday so we could be with both our Mother's and talk to Kadie who is on her mission in Portugal. Happy belated Mothers day to both our Muv's!

Women's Conference

So about a month ago I went to Women's Conference with my family. My mom, Sister-in-law, Baily, her mom and aunt, my mother-in- law and her sister were there too. I was quite a family get together. We had a great time. The classes were great and I wrote down a bunch of good ideas to work on. My mom is the master hostess and got everyone women's conference "survival bags" They were cute bags with water bottles, chapstick, germ-x wipes, bandaids, etc, etc. Basically everything you could want and more. She even got our AZ natives gloves for they possible cold weather.

Then after all the classes were done and we had some dinner. My mom, bailey, and I headed up to SLC to pick up Robin and Eliza. Bailey and I fought for the spare seats and Grandma ruled over all. I hadn't seen my niece yet and she was just as cute as could be. Her big blue eyes, toothless smile, and hugs just melt you. I also hadn't seen my big sis in over a year. We loved having them for the little while I could then they've spend the last month at my parents. I had a great time Mom! Thank you for all you do!

So, Ryan and I have this bad habit of locking ourselves out of our house. First time luckily we went and got keys from Ryan's parent second time not so lucky locked out in the snow and had to pay for a guy take 2 seconds and pop our lock. This time we escaped narrowly because of my amazing husband.

As we walked out the door Ryan asked for the car keys and I just looked at him. They were inside still. After peeling off our downstairs screen then realizing our window was locked I noticed our upstairs window was cracked from earlier that day. YES! We are saved from paying another $40 bucks. Ryan just has to crawl up and get in. Easier said than done. Our outside gas meter was too far away to stand on and pull-up, our trees aren't quite big enough, what to do... I decided to sacrifice my body for the cause. Ryan stood on the meter then climbed up on my shoulders then we did a kind of cheer leading lift onto our overhang. I was definitely in the right sport in high school but I guess they weren't lifting 6'6' 200+ boys onto roofs. The worse thing is I couldn't stop laughing and Ryan just kept saying its not funny :(

Anywho. He got up the roof and popped the screen like a pro and unlocked the door. I had a few flashbacks to a date we went on a long time ago where we had to break into a house and Ry popped a screen and said "We're IN". I loved him back them and now I love him even more. Thanks for the laugh babe.

Now just imagine Ryan standing on my shoulders trying to get up on the overhang! If you can't ask our neighbor he had a look on his face like you are the dumbest thieves in history :)

So I'm going to throw like 2 posts at you that I've just been slacking on. So first of all Ryan and I get to play with the cutest little boy named Cohen James! Nate and Jamie had to go out for a dinner and let us play with their sweet little boy for a little while and after we changed his diaper we took his picture He is such a little prince! We love living by them. Jamie and I have been walking a couple miles every other day until I sprained my ankle. Don't worry Jamie we'll go again soon!

Tuesday morning after work, dad and I decided to go take a little fishing trip down to paradise. It wasn't the nicest it was a little windy but that didn't stop us. We fished for a couple hours, and this time dad actually caught more fish and caught the biggest one to. I was keeping up with him at first but then he started counting all of his almost had on fish so along with his fish he actually landed. We caught a bunch of 10 to 12 inchers and then a couple bigger ones like on the pictures, I could catch those size of fish all day. It was nice just to get out with dad and fish, talk, and listen to him talk to the fish, and know right where they are at..... like always. I feel lucky to have a great dad who just will drop everything just to go spend a few hours fishing, besides how many people can say that they were able to go with a U.S renowned fishing guide for one day, and I get to go with one every time I go fishing! Thanks dad It was a fun day!

So I decided that a lot of days over these last two semesters I have felt a lot like this little baby. But the good news is now that we are one week away from finals and I am excited. I almost attempted to take summer classes but heather and I decided to work hard and try to save this summer, also so we can spend more time together and do things. SO as much as I love going to school I'm ready for a break and it feels great!

Explaination of Pudding Problems

Alright, so all of you who know my mother, know that she has had some "donna" moments where she does something totally off the wall with no explaination of what happened. For example one night we were playing phase ten and she had her hand and out of no where she grabbed the discard pile and shuffeled her hand into the deck and then later asked where her cards were. There are others, but latley I feel like I'm becomming more and more like my mom. The other day I wanted to try to make a key lime pie, and asked my mom to help. while making the Marange(sp?) and I had to seperate the Egg yokes from the egg whites, I couldn't remember to not put the yokes in the whites bowl, and I did so twice, we then switched the bowls around to make it "easier" but I did it a 3rd time. So today I had another "Donetta" Moment, and thats the pudding problems, Mom wanted me to put wax paper on the chocolate pie, and I couldn't figure out why and I teased her about how it was supposed to hold the pie together so it wouldn't fall out of the pie tin. So i go to put it in the fridge and my hand slipped off it and the pie went all over as you can see in the pictures. Luckily for me The wax paper kept most of the pie in its tin and not all over the floor.

Pudding Problems

Sunday after lunch between conference sessions Donetta had made a chocolate pie for dessert. Ryan as usual had been teasing his mother on her memory and "Murphy" coincidence's. She asked him if he would stick the pie in the fridge to cool, but to put some wax paper on it so nothing would fall on it. Ryan kept questioning why the wax paper but ended up putting it on. She must have been inspired because as Ryan was putting it in the fridge he made a weird noise, we heard a splat, and then he walked away quickly with out closing the fridge. We all couldn't help but laugh. Look at what a lovely mess he made. Luckily he put the wax paper on or else the pie whole pie would have all fallen onto the fridge and the floor. Love you Babe!

Yesterday, Friday the 13th of march was my Heathers birthday. She is now 22 so old, about a week ago I had asked Heather what she wanted to do on her birthday, and she just groaned and said "No birthday" "I'm SO OLD!" I guess if she is old at 22, everyone else that is older, i'm sorry to say but we are all Ancient. Anyways yesterday I got home and Heather had requested breakfast in bed, so I made her some french toast and bacon, and when I was finished she was up and down stairs so her breakfast in bed was actaully breakfast on the couch. After we finished I went to take a nap and Heather had a lady come to the house and she recieved a massage. After the massage she went and got a body wrap at some place here in town. I wanted to get her something that she would enjoy, where she could just relax and feel good since she hardly ever slows down durring the week. Later that evening I cooked her Lasagna and had bread sticks and went to a movie of her choice that night. We ended up going to the movie push. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE!

This is an email I recieved from a few people. I was "Disgusted" to say the least. I wrote a email to this company and shared my thoughts. I basically said that the temple is not "Secret" but it is "Sacred". And If they would just consider what they are doing. I also saw an article where a woman was wearing her full temple clothing. This is not okay. God will not be mocked. It will be interesting to see what happens to those involed and HBO and Time Warner.

On Sunday March 15th, the HBO show Big Love is showing an episode containing an excommunication as well as temple ceremonies. They hired an ex-member to help re-create the ceremony, rooms, and clothing. HBO is owned by Time Warner. Send your emails, snail mails, phone calls, to both companies to show HBO that we won't stand for the use of things we consider sacred on their show Big Love, which is using a replica of an endowment room and celestial room to show what happens in the ceremonies there! Just keep it within Church standards please!

Things I want!

So I was just sitting here watching clinic sessions for my Communications disorders class so i got to thinking about things that I want. SO I decided to make a list and see how I do on making those things happen.

1. I want to pass my geography class this semister, I don't reccomend anyone taking that class its probably the most boring thing that I have ever had to do in my life.

2. I want to play college basketball.

3. I want to work durring the day and sleep at night!

4. I want to be with my wife all day every day.

5. I would love to go fishing for a weekend down the green river and fish all day every day.

6. I want to have kids but I don't know if I have to ability to properly care for them.

7. I wish my basketball class was more fun.

8. I want a hobby, something that I can do a couple times a week with my wife but also having the time to do it.

9. I always want to live next to my brother ( he probably would hate having his nagging little brother around but its high on my priority list even though its number 9 here)

10. I want a closet just full of shoes

This isn't a list of all my things I want or priority level this is just what i was thinking about today!

Alright for those in my family who say I'm to sensative, i guess ya'll don't really know how true that is. Now I share this only becasue I truely am a man and can own up to this fact of life. So last night at work just moving block after block of cheese I started to think about my family and how things in life just come and go so flippen fast, your here one second and the next your some where else doing new things and having new experiences. It then dawned on me how soon things would change for our family and to be quite honest i got a little emotional. Luckily for me I work alone and the begining of a line so nobody could see. But I want my family to know that no matter what I say or do, or how sarcasitc or off the wall I am that I love each of you( yes even you marcy) so much and that you are all such a huge part of my life in one way or another. I started from the top and just went down then list. First of all to my parents mom and dad i dont' imagine they will be leaving any time soon unless they get really hard up to see grandkids because their own children aren't enough. But I appreciate my dad so much he is always willing to be there for guidance and has a wonderful opinion about everything, literally everything, and i appreciate that so much and the fact that he has alaways been there for me, sports school, mission its really nice to have a laid back dad to just go to just to shoot the bull or talk to even if it isn't that often. My mom is the greatest in the world and I truely hope that she knows how great she is. Again she is always there, second to my wife she is my best friend and I would go to her for anything. SHe is so caring and is constantly worried about her family even me. I love how willing she is to help me any time. That was the non-emotional part of my thinking but mainly becasue they aren't going anywhere. I then started to think about My older Brother His wife Marcy and their two Awesome children lexi and ethan. This was probably the hardest part for me and will be until they leave, but just the fact of them leaving is hard for me to stomach. I want the best for them with conner finding a new job and getting started in the new part of their life, but it will be so hard to deal with if they are ever farther than they are now which is just across the fence. Conner is and always will be my best friend, even though our lives our changing i've always enjoyed just being around him even if we aren't ever doing anything. He is a person I want to model my life around becasue through thick and thin he is so solid and strong, If i could be anyone I would be him other than i woudln't want to be married to marcy sorry marcy that was his choice a good one but you were made for the conner conner not the ryan wants to be conner if that makes any sense. Marcy is amazing, if she wasn't in our family I would probably go crazy at family gatherings becasue no one talks back to me like marcy. She just makes everything so much fun. She is constantly surprising me with just the kind of person that she is , and really what she believes in and stands for. Its amazing what you can learn from people if you just sit and watch them live their lives. Then there is alexis and ethan, no matter what happens whether it is lexi throwing up all the time or ethan farting on my hand in sunday school and having it enthral the whole room with a horrible stench, those two kids are amazing and very choice spirits. They make my life so much better and make me want to be better for them because i know the influence that i can have on them. There isn't a time when i see either of them that they don't put a smile on my face. I will miss you guys very much when you leave i know that you will make the best decision for your family, and i hope you know that i support you in all that you do. Then there is my sister Carly her husband Aron and their two awesome kids. I don't know if carly or aaron know how much i love or appreciate them and having them close by. The way our schedules are we rarely see eachother but that doesn't change the fact that we are family and that I love you still. Carly seems like she has so much on her plate with kids and work and kids, but carly you are amazing, you are so kind and loving even if you have an odd way of showing it at times, who doesn't but i appreciate you for who you and who you stand for just because you are my sister, and thats what matters to me is that no matter what happens or has happened you are my sister and nothing can change that. Then there are you two awesome little kids adon and collin. I'm not going to lie if anything every happend to adon i would probably die i love that kid so much, how can you not, he is so happy all the time, and so much fun to be around. He deserves so much love an attention becasue of who he is plain and simple, my life would be very empty with out that little boy. Collin to even though he is just into finding his personallitly he's so fun to be around and to just watch move around and scream and laugh and his smile how could you not love that kid's smile and melt and do anything for him when ever he is smiling.
Then Kadie , i have so many thoughts and emtions for you right now. Part of me wants to be like silly kid stay home and get married like a good girl. But then the bigger part of me says you go out and you serve that mission and love it. Its the greatest thing besides getting married and having kids that you will ever experience in your life. The people you will meet the attributes you will aquire from the lord just by going out and doing his will, will bless your life in so many ways. I am jealous i wish i could be going again so for the next 18 months do nothing but eat drink and sleep missionary work becuase it is fun and amazing. I hope that you know that i love you and will miss you. I know we dont' see you often but that doesn't change the fact that you are my sister and i want the best things for you and that all my teasing and hassleing is just because i love you and i hope that you see that.
And fianlly kelsey, what an amazing girl. I really dont' know if you realize how awesome you really are. I hope you also know that i love you and i want the very best for you. The reason I or anyone else in our family are hard on you or try to give you advice is simply because we love you, you a part of are family and we want the very best for you. I know right now in your life it can be confusing and you don't really know what to do or where to start but if you think things out and stay positive everything will always work out.
I know things go shorter as I went on But I Can't leave out The love of my life, my wife, heather. I know you always want me to say things and i don't ever do it enough but i hope you know and feel every day of your entire life how much I love you and how much i am willing to sacrife and to do anything and everything for you. I know right now we are at cross roads in our life with what to do and where to go. But I love you so much and i have so much fun with you all the time. AND you know what i'm talking about when i say that. I appreciate how much you do for me every single day with everything that you have been through even though its still affecting you i love you for everything that you do.
SO that was in a nut shell what i was thinking about last night i love everyone of you, and will really be sad when we are all hundreds of miles apart from eachother and hardly have any time to get together so just know that i think of each of you very often and that my family is the best family in the world and that i wouldn't change anything that i've learned or been through with my family for anything ever.

We all went sledding up at Old Main Hill. Ryan and I showed up late so we only got one picture out of the fun... It was cold and nice to go back to the Egbert's for Hot Chocolate.

We had a fun time at Randy and Jay's and it was so nice to see Ryan's cousins. We played games, stayed up late, and slept in late... Here is the silly kiss that Donetta got on camera.

You don't even want to know what Caitlyn and Isabelle were doing with tights and balloons but Kadie joined in on the fun when they ran around at midnight banging on pans.

New Years Day Jay was nice enough to take a group of up snowmobilling. It was a little windy but it's been so long since we've been we loved it! Thanks Jay.

Back to Life

Well we are back to normal life now.. As normal as it gets around here. We had a GREAT Christmas and New Year! You'll have to forgive all the pictures. We have been too busy living life to write about it. (Also the screen on our digital camera broke so we can't really see what we are taking. :( They are a little off center)

Sorry no pictures of Christmas Eve we played games opened presents and ate, ate, ATE!

Conner is done with school! He graduated with his degree in Computer Engineering. I'm very jealous but congrats Conner. I know you guys are glad to be done. Doesn't Lexi and Ethan know that they are about to get even more spoiled? They don't look like they do.

Poor Alabama, They played so well but couldn't keep up with the Gators of Florida. It was sad for me to see, but at the same time I am extremely happy for them to play The University of Utah. I've been tired of listening to the Fans of the Utes say how good they are, well here is there test, They will get to see first hand what real, hard hitting, smash mouth, in your face football is all about. So for thanksgiving this year, we spent the holiday in Vernal with the Jolleys. It was great no work, family, and just relaxing. It was great we drove out wedensday afternoon, and just spent the day with the family. Thursday We went over to Uncle Richards and Aunt Lisa's house and had our feast with the two of them and their son Keaton. It was Richard, Lisa, Keaton , William, Marilyn, Ryan, Heather, and Kristine, so it was small but nice. The meal was awesome everything that you could imagine was there(thanks Lisa and Marilyn) To begin we started with tradition, in Richards house, they have 3 candy corns on your plate and you say three things you are thankful for and eat one every time you say something, It lasted the whole meal, by the time all was said and done. We ended up Skiping past William because of the length of his thankfulness and then returned to him so he could finish at the end, it sure was a good time, so much to be thankful for. Friday morning Maryilyn, Heather and I woke up bright and early for the big sales event of black friday. It was fun atleast to do once, I would reccomend everyone atleast trying it. It was crazy so many people up and going in the morning, our agenda was just a flat screen tv but we were there an hour. It was fun. Later that afternoon we went up to the mountain and got a tree, and spent the afternoon around flaming gorge, we ate and stoped at a few historic sites. We learned about elk and a few other cool things so that was good :) Then the rest of the weekend we just spent time with family played games ate and slept( ok Ryan was the only one who slept durring the day what a bumb). IT was a wonderful trip!

Ryan is now the big 23! We had dinner over at his parents house with the whole family and Nate and Jamie. The new tradition is to have this giant sign up on the wall. This is Adon and Ryan getting ready to blow out the cake.

Some friends of ours found this Haunted mini-golf course that was decorated for Halloween. It was lots of fun. Ryan ended up winning by a hair but the wives put up a pretty good fight! Afterward we watched football and baseball had delicious hamburgers and played games. Thanks Nate and Jamie for a fun night!

Sister Egbert

Sister Kadie Dawn Egbert has been called to serve in the Porto Portugal mission. She'll be leaving Feb. 18, 2009. We all got together and had pizza at Kadies house. We are so excited an jealous of this beautiful place she gets to go. Good luck Kadie!

Charlie an Robin's little girl is here! Congrats you guys. Eliza Mann was born on Thursday, Oct 16th. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and has bright blue eyes and brown hair. She is a doll and we are sad she is so far away but can't wait to meet her.
